Aboriginal Health Promotion Short Course

  • This five day Aboriginal Health Promotion Short Course is free to attend and will have an Aboriginal health focus in all subjects and is designed specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Western Australia (WA).

    The course will cover:
    - current health promotion practices
    - how to talk to community to identify health issues
    - health promotion planning
    - setting goals and objectives
    - health promotion strategies and methods
    - running a health promotion program
    - evaluation of health promotion program
    - group work.

    When: Monday 23 to Friday 27 July 2018
    Where: Centre for Aboriginal Studies, Curtin University, Bentley, Perth, WA (room number to be advised)
    Time: 9am to 2pm daily

    Financial support is available including rural and remote participants for travel and accommodation.

    Please note: Places are limited to 25 and an expression of interest is required by Friday 6 July 2018.
