Thank you so much for joining us today. I'm Vikki and I work for Menzies School of Health Research. I'd like to acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of the lands on which each of us are meeting today. I would like to pay my respect to the Elders past and present and also to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people participating in the forum today.

We are keen to hear from you about the kinds of issues that impact upon Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders engaging in activities related to palliative care. As noted in the initial post, the information gathered today will help inform the development of a National Framework to improve cancer outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

So once again welcome, and let's begin. What do you think are some of the main issues for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with regard to palliative care?
