2016 Global Say No to Family & Domestic Violence Conference

  • 11 April 2016

    Hi Everyone,

The conference is scheduled for September 14 - 16, 2016 at Stamford Grand Hotel Glenelg in Adelaide, South Australia. The conference is hosted by Indigenous Conference Services (Australia) with a great line up of speakers from Australia and internationally.

The conference primary aims and goal is to work towards stopping all forms of family and domestic violence, not only in Indigenous communities but in the general community. The conference is only one tool in our arsenal to overcome the scourge of family and domestic violence. For years, domestic violence has been hidden in the back rooms and behind closed doors. As such one of the most effective implementation is the sharing of information and knowledge and speaking out.The greater the spotlight on perpetrators and the incidence of family and domestic violence, the greater the effectiveness of breaking the cycle of violence.

With the invention of the internet, the world is now at most peoples’ door step as such the sharing of information whether it be programs run by government or not-for-profit organisations has become more accessible in today’s society. As such, the conference endeavours to establish a global network for the sharing  information on Domestic Violence. Statistics show throughout the world that men deem to be the most prominent perpetrators;however, the conference will focus on both men and women equally and together with all other family members. Thank you for your time,

    Kindest Regards

    Mr Thomas Callaghan
