Bursary for Nth Qld Health Workers to attend myPHN Conference

    For the third consecutive year, Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) is proud to offer bursaries to enable current practicing Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Worker/Practitioners in NQPHN Region which goes from Sarina, south of Mackay to Cape and Torres in FNQ to attend the myPHN Conference 2018 to be held in Mackay, 1-2 September 2018.


    This year’s theme, Connecting our health care together, focuses on working together to provide seamless care for patients across our landscape and incorporates the following conference streams.


    As a premium event on the primary health calendar attended by a wide range of health professionals, educators, and key influencers in Australian primary health, NQPHN is committed to building local capacity to improve health and wellbeing outcomes across northern Qld communities.


    The bursary will cover:


    - full conference registration (including the NQPHN Health Professional Awards evening on 1 September)


    - conference catering (morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea daily)


    - travel and accommodation for the conference period (organised by NQPHN)


    - transfers to and from Mackay airport.


    To be eligible applicants must:


    - be a current practising Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Worker/Practitioner


    - be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander origin


    - have a demonstrated interest in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health


    - provide a written statement outlining the ways in which the bursary would support their professional development.
